Register now for 25th Annual Hall of Fame Dinner

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Six former student-athletes will be inducted into the Nazareth College Sports Hall of Fame on Sept. 14 in the Nazareth College Forum.

Two former men's lacrosse standouts, Trent Brown, '97 and Bryan Coon, '05, will be inducted along with former men's volleyball All-Americans Robert Kraft, '13 and E.J. Wells-Spicer, '13. Sara Shipley, '05, who excelled in both basketball and volleyball, will be inducted along with former women's soccer standout Molly Codding, '01.

Brown, of Syracuse, N.Y., was a three-year standout as a lacrosse attackman for the Golden Flyers and was a key performer in the team's drive to national titles in 1996 and 1997. He earned All-American honors in '97 and was named Most Valuable Player of the NCAA Division III championship game after delivering five goals and two assists in a 15-14 overtime win over Washington College.

Codding, of Brockport, N.Y., was a four-year starting defender for the Golden Flyers in women's soccer and earned first-team Empire 8 Conference all-star honors in 1999 and 2000. She served as team captain for the 2000 team that finished 13-3-3 overall and competed in the NCAA Tournament.

Coon, of Webster, N.Y., was a starting attackman for the Golden Flyers and ranks among the all-time scoring leaders with 147 points, including 110 goals. He was a three-time All-American who helped the Golden Flyers to a four-year mark of 51-15, three Empire 8 Conference titles and three berths in the NCAA Tournament.

Kraft, of Waretown, N.J., was a four-year standout and two-time All-American as a volleyball middle blocker. He holds the Nazareth career record for hitting percentage at .421 and ranks first all-time with 161 service aces. He helped the Golden Flyers to a national title in 2011 and a berth in the national finals in 2013.

Shipley, of Macedon, N.Y., excelled for the Golden Flyers in both basketball and volleyball and is the only student-athlete to ever combine more than 1,000 points in basketball and 1,000 kills in volleyball. She was a two-time Empire 8 Conference all-star in basketball after amassing 1,090 points and 679 rebounds over four seasons. In volleyball, she recorded 1,360 kills and 413 blocks and helped the Golden Flyers to three NCAA Tournament berths.

Wells-Spicer, of Phelps, N.Y., was the Golden Flyers' starting volleyball setter for four seasons and holds the Nazareth career mark with 4,762 assists. He earned first-team All-American honors and was named National Player of the Year in 2013 in leading Nazareth to a 36-2 record and a trip to the NCAA finals. He also earned All-American honors in 2011 and guided Nazareth to a 31-3 record and the Molten Division III national title.
